Introduction
The International Code Council Foundation (ICCF) is offering scholarships to members of the Government who are interested in attending the Final Action Code Hearings.
This Scholarship would give the winners Cost refunds for the expenses incurred according to the ICC travel Policy. To qualify for this award, the government employers should please send a written statement covering their employees out of station allowances if they are given the scholarship.
The ICCF will award between 15 and 25 scholarships in 2009 and they will be given according to the following categories:-
- Emerging Leaders – individuals who have served between 4 and 9 years. This will solidify commitment to the organization and industry as well as reward current participation.
- Future Leaders – individuals who are new to the industry, serving 4 years or less. This will provide a foundation for continued participation and leadership throughout the winners’ careers.
- International Leaders – officials must reside outside of the United States. This category recognizes the importance of sharing knowledge and best practices with our counterparts abroad.
- Small Town Leaders – officials whose city or county population is 20,000 or less. This will ensure the representation of small towns and rural areas which by nature tend to have less of a presence at the conference.
- Veteran Leaders – individuals who have served 10 years or more. This will reward their continued leadership as well as ensure that the organization continues to benefit from their experience and knowledge.
